Tank Cleaning

In some cases, animals become trapped in tanks and drown, leading to very high levels of contamination. Proper maintenance of the tank, catchment system, roof and gutters is essential to ensure a safe supply of water. Tanks should be examined for accumulation of sludge at least every 2-3 years. Sludge can be removed without emptying the tank. Organic material removed from the tank may be disposed of in the garden or lawn.
